Follow this brew guide for the perfect french press every time

1L french press (serves 4)

| Ratio | 1 | 14 |
| Measure | 54g | 756ml |
1. Grind
Weigh then grind the coffee to medium-coarse and put in the jug.
2. Weigh the water
Heat water to around 95°C and weigh it.
3. Tick tock
Start a timer as you pour the water over the grounds. After 4 minutes, stir with a tablespoon and gently push the floating crust of coffee downwards. Leave to settle for at least another 4 minutes.
4. Scoop
Remove any floating coffee particles from the surface and discard.
5. Plunge
Place the plunger on the jug and push it down very gently until just under the surface of the brew (not all the way to the bottom of the jug).
6. Pour
Using the plunger as a filter for any remaining floating particles, gently pour into a cup.
